The Rural Outreach Program takes UDAI’s work into villages and hill communities where healthcare access can be limited.
Through awareness camps and local engagement, we introduce families to the basics of Type 1 diabetes care and early recognition.
These outreach efforts help bring medical knowledge closer to communities that often face significant travel and service barriers.
UDAI staff and volunteers work closely with local leaders to make sure information is relevant, accessible, and easy to understand.
The program also opens conversations around prevention of stigma and the need for early support.
Many families discover that support and guidance are available much closer to home than they expected.
By meeting people where they are, UDAI builds trust and increases the likelihood that care will continue over time.
